The new engine will say what oil to use on the engine.
An old timer told me when braking in a new engine not to use the slick stuff, use regular weights.
I would recommend you change the oil the first time after 50 hours or in your case 5 days. Then every 100 hours or 10 days if you are going to run it 10 hours per day.
I have an old 20 hp honda. I change oil and filter when the oil starts to turn dark, use regular oil 5w30 or 10w30. Never go past 100 hours. Never used synthetic. No reason you can't spend extra if it makes you feel better. Some engines the oil turns black before 100 hours. My daddy said changing oil is cheaper than an engine overhaul.
I would add an hour meter. Find on Amazon or Ebay with a replaceable battery and a wire to put around spark plug wire to measure RPMs and hours.
