Dad worked with big horses when he was young. (born in 1915) When he got older and slowed down on farming he bought 2 miniatures. He found a Studebaker wagon the right size and had harness made. When he would rattle the harness those horses would fall in line, even before he tried training them. We tried switching sides one time and they both laid down. We switched the harness to the other side and they got up and got ready to go. Dad had a bad heart attack in his 80's and the doctors told us he probably would not make it another 2-3 days. We left pictures of his horses on his bed table and went home. When we came in the next morning dad was sitting up and telling the doctor all about his girls. Doctor said those horse pictures reminded him he had something to live for. He lived to 90 years, 6 months, and 13 days. Then he refused to eat or take his medicine, just quit wanting to live. If I can find my pictures I will post them.
