You say you took the cap off. What cap?? It would help to know which model you have. They have drain plugs on the bottom of the transmission and rear end, 3 of them I believe. Water separates and goes to the bottom and freezes. If it was working fine until the weather got cold and now won't work, it didn't break anything just setting there. Get under it with a 1/2 inch breaker bar and take the plugs out, if nothing comes out, there's your problem. If you were using it and it happened, it's probably worn shift parts not shifting gears or else a gear is welded to the top shaft from lack of lube. Chris
