NOT funny! Been there because someone else loaded the trailer with milled lumber from logs we had hauled a couple of weeks before. I had no way to unload it. Aside from the excessive weight, the 10,000 gvw trailer was originally factory built with mobile home style axles and wheels. Brakes only on one axle. I was on I-69 west of Flint, Mich. I saw the left rear wheel leaving the trailer as we approached an exit ramp. I made it onto the ramp and the wheel went into the grass adjacent to the highway. (thankfully) I had a 12-ton hydraulic bottle jack and a high-lift jack in the truck. We got the trailer lifted and the wheel back on BUT, we only had 4 of the 5 tabs and bolts. Everything held together for another 60 miles. Shortly after that I had new axles installed, each wheel with 8 lugs and brakes on both axles. There is a formula for calculating the weight of logs. I've asked a friend to send it to me. And, by the way, I ain't hauling no more dem logs or lumber.

Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
