Seen a guy one time using cinder blocks like that to jack something up. Only, he kept breaking them. He went to get co-worker who had done it successfully before. Asked him what he was doing wrong. The second guy said, well ..., you can't put the cinder block in there like that. You got to put em in there with the holes going up and down, and not sideways. And also put board on both top and bottom of the block. All still unsafe, but it worked. I'd of went and found more wood blocks. And not used cinders at all.
