Are you buying a new LS from an LS dealer or is it an "orphan" on some other brand dealer's lot? If it's a tradein it was traded in for a reason, and it's NEVER the one the salesman claims.
How do you prepare the soil in your garden? If by rototiller for the first-pass, a hydrostatic transmission is almost a MUST. Gear drive can't go slow enough to get a good mix with the tiller, unless it has a creeper gear. I know a lot of guys will say they run their tiller just fine but they're tilling loose soil that's been loosened up with a plow and disc.
