Hello Duane welcome to YT. No hands on experience, but looking at the parts diagrams you have a fair task ahead of you if you decide to take this on. First thing I would do is get the drive section off that the rear of the front drive shaft pulls power from out of the transmission to make sure the gear is in place on the 684 that drives it. If you are not aware you can view the parts break downs for these tractors online. I will add a link for that, it may open to a Farmall M trans diagram, you need to choose ..Model name.. for the search type and enter 584 or 684 then search it will pop up in the list. I will say that on my iPhone it does not work the greatest. Or at least when I select a part number to see details and ultimately put it in the cart to purchase the wrong part shows up. CHNI says that it could be due to the ..cache.. in the browser but I have never had the guts to clear it. I also can give you a link to the service manual for your tractor, prefer to do that by email, log in on Modern View or will show on Classic. Hope this helps.

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
