We ended up with a little over a foot of snow from the storm this week. Not unheard of around here, but not a common occurrence either. I had the Case 830 you guys helped me tune up parked in front of the shop ready to go. I think it did a good job opening the driveway up. It ran great! Its a nice sunny day so I decided to spend some time in the shop. I brought the car up and parked it before the storm hit since it wont get much use till we get a melt! It needs a bath but Ill wait on that for awhile. Some of you might remember when me and son got the auction M going I was having trouble with the starter. I tried to solder it but I really couldnt control the heat and didnt do a very good job. It lasted for a bit but I let the smoke out of it the other day. I order a new one from this site and put it on. Now it cranks like it should! My grandfathers old section of harrow finally broke so I decided to try to fix it up a bit. My dad was my go to guy for welding. Now that hes gone Im bound and determined to become a competent welder! I figured this would be a good piece to practice on. I welded the front up and then used an old bolt in the back and welded it in to reinforce the weld. Well see if it holds! I too embarrassed by my welding ability at this point to show a close up, but Im learning! As I look around the shop I realize how many things you all have helped me with! I like to thank you and tell you all I appreciate it! Thank for spending some time in the shop with us!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
