Nothing like the smell of fresh dirt in the spring after a cold winter.
I thought we should start seeing a little milder weather soon. Then 2 days ago we watched as 12 major flocks of sandhill cranes flew heading south! They were as far to the east and to the west that we could see. Either a short summer or late leaving the north country, I hope. This is in Southern Indiana.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
