Add up the total amperage draw of the lights, LED and the old ones if they are going to be left working. Be sure the switch is rated for the amperage load of all them. DC current has a nasty habit of welding contacts together if a switch is not rated heavy enough for the load applied. I like the idea of using a relay to control the lights. That way the switch doesn't carry so much load and therefore can be a lesser rating, just enough to turn on the relay so that can also be a smaller wire gauge. A junction block installed after the switch is a neat way to connect multiple wire to the lights. A fuse in the line feeding the switch is also good. Gene Davis Tennille, Ga.
