I got a call this PM from an old friend. He was sending another even older friend over. He had a problem with his Kubota. I invited him in and he explained how he was getting ready for the storm and decided to replace the fuel filter. First time in five years. He had a little trouble getting the new one in but it started and ran.............. but only for a minute, and he couldn't get it to go. We went to his place and I checked it out. First it seemed that it wasn't tight enough, but tightening it didn't help, so I removed the filter. The filter was in upside down. When I tried it right side up it wouldn't go. I felt up inside the housing and it didn't feel right. I asked for the old filter. It looked REALLY not right. I decided that the end of the old filter was still up in the housing. I got down and looked up in there, sure enough there was the end of the old filter. With my pocket knife I worked the old filter end out, put the new one in and it started and ran.
