My dad had an old green vw jetta with the tdi. We live in Indiana and he had to commute to the middle of Ohio everyday cause he was the foreman on a job, so he bought it for fuel savings. His truck got 10mpg max at the time, and he got that car to get 45-50. Lol. Loved that car. Way better than a Prius. And in my mind, the small difference in fuel economy tween the two is worth it to drive the diesel lol.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
