Hello to all about 25 years ago dad and I went up to this farm and bought the Massey 44. I remember the fella saying that his dad said it was a good pulling tractor Well here we are 20 to 25 years later And I'm just like that fella at that farm we went to that I'm getting ready to sell the old Massey 44. Completely stock as far as I know it's a good runner first gear down the track and placed first second or third depending on how many Allis Chalmers were in the field and a few John's . We had an old guy in the tractor club that was very knowledgeable and into auto electric that was his job . Well they switch the old Massey over to 12 V. So over the course of last summer I've been putting the old Massey out in front of the house trying to sell it. So I went out to start it and crash boom bang .broke the starter nosecone. Not good ,had it welded back up I have since Switched it back to 6 V . Dad had kept all the old parts so I was able to switch it back to 6 volt . So in needing some help now that it is back to 6 V and running I'm showing discharge on the amp meter. Generator is producing 7 V I've got 7 V at the battery so appears to be charging at this time but the amp meter is showing discharge Any help or suggestions thanks for any help
