Used an 8n with a 15 gallon spot sprayer in a carryall for a lot of years spraying fencerows. Never went through the woods with it, and not much in the way of hills.
Have since switched to using a side by side (Polaris) I bought, with the tank in the back...clutch, brake, steering and spraying could sometimes keep me pretty busy on the 8n. And the Polaris rides better :) But if I hadn't bought the Polaris, I'd still be using the 8n, so....
Since I was doing fencerows, didn't have to spray that far, maybe 20ft.
Just bought an on sale 15 gallon spot sprayer for the job way back when. About the only original part left is the tank, everything else has been replaced at least once, the pump a couple times.
You can either do what I did and buy cheap to get started, then buy better components as the originals die...pump, spray wand...or buy better (and pay for it) from the start.
Maybe buy a cheap one (if there is such a thing right now) to start just to make sure it will do what you want.
And on my fence rows, I'll use a broadleaf killer (2,4-d or crossbow) so it leaves the grass alone.
I did find when replacing components, Ebay and Amazon are usually way less expensive than farm store prices. Something to keep in mind. Flushing it out good with clean water when you're done for the day will go a long way keeping your sprayer running. And run some RV antifreeze through it before winter sets in...freezing is why one pump and wand got replaced on mine 'cause I can be a dummy and forgot.

Today's Featured Article - Tuning Up Your Tractor: Cooling and Fuel Systems, Hoses and Belts - by Curtis Von Fange. Our tractor is coming right along. The old oil and filter has been taken to the recycler and the air filter replacement has breathed new life into our motor. Let's take a closer look, now, at the cooling system since it has to work so hard in the summer heat. Cooling systems can be real cantankerous in their old age. Radiator cores clog up with rust, lime or other mineral deposits and the fins clog up with weed seeds and debris. The metal headers slowly corrode away from years of use and
