Close. Henry Gretsch built this granary over a century ago. It included a a grain leg in the center, 5 bins upstairs, and a op floor on the main level. Built out of milled 4x4 Tamarack 2 ft oc downstairs with milled board sheathing and 2 in Oak floor. Upstairs is 2 in white oak joists, boughten pine shiplap floor framed by boughten 2x4 stacked bin walls. We are disassembling the accoutrements preparing it for a move to Junkshow and we discovered the mechanical workings were made and supplied by RR Howell Eq Co Minneapolis Minnesota. Not being familiar with this firm some research reveals they were a diverse manufacturer of farm and industrial equipment in the fist part of the last century. They produced equipment like feed grinders water and oil rilling equipment, to sawmills, and equipment in between.
