Have no idea how your machine is made but I do know on a early MF or JD they say you should be able to harvest small seeds like the alfala BUT with the rasp bar cylinder you have to have a PERFECT cylinder and concave seet to be able to put the filler bars in between the rasp bars and also between thr concave bars to cover the holes in the concave betweern thw bars the seed is thrashed out with. Learned the hard way on red clover that is slightly bigger than alfalfa the hard way 50 years ago. The ONLY machine that will do a good job on those small seeds is the old AC 60 and 66 or 72 combines and that is the reason they were called all crop. Were a couple of pull type Case combines and ONE self propelled Case combine in this area in the past 70 vears so where would rven be aboe to find the small seed parts for that machine. A spike tooth cylinder would be even worse that a rasp bar cylinder to harvest the alfalfa with. Then where would you find a screen with small enough holes to handle the grass seed has the adjustable screen will not tighten up enough for the grass seed.
