IH ONLY used Onan engines in that 4130 skid steer and the 982 Cub Cadet. B48G was the model number. If your CIH dealer can't get the parts they are lazy. I had to replace points & condenser at least once a year in my 982, which is why I bought a Cub Cadet 27 hp Zero turn with a Kawasaki engine, it gets an oil & filter change once a year, about every 25 hours. Deere used lots more Onan engines than IH did. Very distinct design errors in the Onan engines, some will cause sudden catastrophic engine failure, others just poor running. Do a search for a local CUMMINS engine parts & service shop, they should have the points & condenser or can get them. They will need the model number, spec number, and serial number of your engine. LAST points & Condensor I bought 6-7 years ago was around $140 with shipping. SEE why I parked my 982? The last 3 sets of points/condensors had only lasted 40-50 hours each. And hope and pray your fuel pump never goes bad, I bought one around 2005, was over $110 back then. I always had the feeling when I started that 982 that something terribly expensive was going to fail in that ONAN engine. And most times something did.
