The ride this year was only about 10 miles from one old historic county school to another then back after some good tamales, chili and beans. We crosse3d several dry low water crossings that would have been neat if there was any creek flow. After lunch we rode back. RE: the Nimitz. My last visit there was about 3 years ago with my FIL and a group of veterans from the VA long term care unit in Kerrvile. Being with them added to the experience. I'd advise anyone visiting F'burg to skip a winery or 2 and visit the Nimitz. New Braunfels is not the quiet quaint town it was 10 - 15 years ago. So much has changed around here. But then I'm old and heard Change is good too many times when I was working. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
