My very limited experience with snow tells me moving snow is not a steady every day job like grass cutting. Plus this just makes for a bigger equipment load. Now are you not only paying for grass cutting equipment you are not using in the winter you are also paying for snow removal equipment you are not using in the summer. I understand moving snow pays the food and electric bill in the winter.
With paying for equipment you only use 6 months a year and not having a steady everyday income during the winter seems your rates for these services has to be a lot higher than what they charge around here.
Or maybe every job up north is seasonal. I know road construction up north stops in the winter. Just trying to picture the difference as February is the same as July around here when it comes to a job. Even tourism works 12 months a year around here.
