Around here we plant sugar cane in August/September; Strawberries in October and November; and pine trees in the winter. Very little if any corn/beans grown around here. That is more of a Mississippi river delta area in the northern part of the state. But if you were to grow corn here you better have it in the ground by now or the heat of summer and bug population will get you before you could harvest a crop.
