I question the 1/4 inch plate the seats are bolted to. I would start over with a whole different build up. Like a couple of tubes across the top of the housing and then use a couple used truck air seats. they can be had out of semi's in a junkyard. The air seat will ride better and could be adjusted for each's riding comfort. After all she doesn't want to be bounced around like a ball from a stiff seat and you don't want to bottom out for her. An air tank can be mounted Anyplace you find convenient. Plastic air line for that could be 1/4 inch to the seats with a tee for each seat. Don't bother with the push lock fittings they will go to leaking later on. Use the brass threaded fittings they don't have to be tightened up like they are holding the world either. Just so you can't pull the line out is tight enough. An air fill stem like a tire will do for the air supply to the tank unless it has a self leveling valve in the seat if so then you will need an air compressor on the tractor. An electric one would work.

Well, although these tires were in good shape as far as tread was concerned, they looked real sad. All were flat, but new tubes fixed that. In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on
