OK, I got the instruction and repair parts book I ordered from ebay today. It is a piece of junk as a 'manual', only 15 actual pages of data, and it was printed on 8.5x14 pages, so everything is now half original size. The reprint quality is pretty good, but for $27, it was a ripoff.
The drive system is conventional clutch, flywheel and PP, and the output shaft has a quad v belt hub, running on a pillow block bearing. The four v belts go down to the input shaft of the trans, with another quad v belt hub, with another outer pillow block bearing shaft, and the input into the trans has a seal and ball bearing just as one would find in any input shaft for the trans.
Quite simple, and easy to replace, but access is under the operator seat, so replacing those belts is accessed from underneath. The unit I purchased doesn't have some of the handy options, but seems to be a stripped down version. There is a scarifier option in front of the moldboard, and dual rear wheels, and a hyd powered blade angle drive. I have none of those options. I think there was also an option for the side to side blade motion by hyd pump, but mine just has a acme screw and a jack handle to move it.
I wish I had dual rear wheels, of course they could be fitted at some cost. I also could use a scarifier but that could be added as well, it's a matter of money. I'm going to pick up next wed, and I'll post up a pic when I get it on the trailer.
