Over fueling must mean it is smoking. If that is the case on the reverse that could also mean it is not getting enough air. Has the air filter and other parts of that system been checked for blockage? I see the engines for those are inter cooled, not sure if that is an air to air, or coolant type charge cooler. Whatever type have they checked to make sure all the charge piping and hoses are in place and tight, and hoses have no rubbed through spots. An external air to air cooler should be pressurized and sprayed with soapy water to check for leaks. I would guess that the laptop diagnosis would report if there is a problem with the variable vane system in the turbo if it is so equipped. If the turbo has a vane adjustment actuator in some cases they need calibrated after install to perform properly.
