Lamar,MO had a huge JD dealer so they use a John Deere tractor to welcome you...They now have a chain store...The long time JD dealer thats now retired has a huge collection of old JD's and I'm sure that he donated this one.

The Pleasant View one room school south of Holden,MO...This was taken yesterday.... I was in Holden yesterday morning to attend the funeral of a tractor pulling friend Bruce White that farmed SE of Holden. The late Bruce White taking the 10500 Hot Stock win at Clinton,MO in July 2019 with his strong 6030 John Deere.. In 2020 and 2021 he pulled a 9500 Pro Field 1066 IH...It took 2 years to get it dialed in and he finally won the last hook of the year at ElDorado Springs,MO with a different turbo plus 2 mismatched pistons in it...He had burnt 2 pistons at Archie,MO the week before.He was going to be tough in 2022 but it will never happen..Bruce was one of those guys that made you feel like you had known him for all of his life even though it was for only 3 years..He still had his Dads 1206 IH that was bought new..Bruce was our senior MSTPA puller at age 75.....I now get to take that title over at age 72...RIP Bruce... You were one of the good guys and will be missed..

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
