I'm in upstate NY. About 65 miles northwest of NYC. Getting to be a bedroom community for NYC, but still many farms left in the area. I've always loved farm tractors. Grew up in a rural area. Never knew about tractor pulls until maybe 2-3 years ago. Not sure why I didn't know about them earlier. I wish they were more then once a month, but they aren't. Thinking about joining the farmers museum, that sponsors these pulls, as a volunteer. Regardless, I will give them a donation. They certainly bring much joy to my life one Sunday a month. Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
