I am in the middle of an ordeal with the rear tires on a JD 520. You might have seen the posts. That CaCl seems like nasty stuff to have in your tires. I plow with a 6 ft backblade and was curious how much the stuff helps. I figure it adds around 1000 # having both tires full. I don't usually have problems spinning ( the tires are Ag tread in good shape)but now and then when I have to roll over a snowbank to widen the driveway it spins some in the deep snow. I see tractors with 55 gallon drums filled with ? for weight. What would be the best way to mount a drum like that? I thought I could also hang a couple hundred pounds on each of the loader mounts if needed. I am really trying to avoid the CaCl If possible. Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks Tom
