About that same time (1990), a guy in town got a DUI on a bicycle. He had gotten several over the years. So the cops had his number (if you will). And didn't seem to have any remorse for the guy, even though he had reduced himself to only riding a bicycle. Kind of a result of the cops just picking on somebody (the bicycle part), if you ask me.
Not sure if that one actually stuck in court or not. Probably did, if I had to guess. By that time, he had no hopes of getting a driver's license back. Had nothing to fight for in court, other than the charge itself. And was likely through with hiring a descent lawyer for his defense.
