We decided to plant a few sweet potatoes. My friend brought us the slips yesterday, so today we got them planted. It took a few minutes to get the final kinks worked out of the transplanter from sitting up for so long, but everything started clicking along after some final adjustments. My youngest son did the driving till I finished playing mechanic and running the bed shaper/sprayer. The oldest son and his good friend did all of the setting. The bed shaper sprayer combo worked pretty slick for everything to be leftover mismatched parts from other projects. Oldest son was hesitant to want to bed up the rows. Soo..he picked the task of getting the land field cultivated with the 7150. I still think he wanted an A/C job. Lol. Once he got started good, I fell in behind him with the Farmall 300 and the 2 row bedder to ridge the rows up. Even for smaller tasks and enjoyment such as this, it still takes nearly half of the farm to pull off getting the work done. It was enjoyable tho once we got going good. I sure hope we can get this shower of rain they keep talking about this week. The heatwave last week did a number on our moisture levels.

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
