Hopefully its a recent thing, and can be fixed by realigning the clutch shaft. There's a heavy metal plate bolted to the front of the frame, under the radiator, and a single large bolt holds the front of the engine onto that plate. On mine the two plate bolts were loose, allowing the plate to sag under the weight of the engine. I replaced them with grade 5 bolts and lock nuts, then I shimmed between that plate and the engine, to adjust the rear sprocket alignment. Hopefully that's all you have to do to fix the drag on the clutch shaft. Yours may be a bit different at the front, because my plate looked 'farmered' to me. steve
