Yes, it's a bit nasty here. We're near Laurel, Mt, about 15 miles west of Billings, Mt. There is concern for Laurel's City water plant right now. All that water from Yellowstone Park will be/is now passing down the Yellowstone River past the Citys of Laurel and Billings. There is some low land flooding in the Billings area. Check out Red Lodge, MT flooding also. A small stream called Rock Creek decided to go down their Main Street. We are safe, as we are a few 100 feet above the river. Adding to the problems is the fact that a couple small rivers/streams adding to the water flow. The Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone and the Stillwater river are adding water, plus they have their own flooding issues. If the water gets to us, the whole work is in trouble!!! As of now, ALL entrances to Yellowstone Park are closed. South of Livingston, Mt, the highway to Yellowstone is along, next to the river. Sections of the road are flat GONE!! A number of small bridges are washed out or unsafe, or the approaches to them are washed out. The governor has issued a statewide emergency flooding declaration. But it's going to be a long time getting all the damaged roads and bridges repaired or even passable. The City's downstream are preparing for the water. The Yellowstone meets the Missouri River near Sidney/Fairview Mt, so, all the water is going to affect all the dams from there on downstream.
