I disagree in this situation. A small block engine in big heavy frame 4x4 is going to be stressed more doing the same job as the bigger tractor with the bigger engine in the OPs post. Plus the 8440 will have a poor power to weight ratio. We did have a 8440 for a short time and a 4640. Unless you were in our hills, the 8440 wasnt much of an improvement over the 4640 on the drawbar. Plus we blew the head gasket in the 8440. The 4640 never let us down once in the 18 years we owned it.
