Can you tap into the supply line and check the fuel pressure being delivered to the injection pump?
I don't have a ''spec'' at hand but would GUESS 5 psi or so would be adequate.
If it drops to next to nothing as the engine begins to stall you will have to figure out what is restricting fuel flow through the filter and lift pump.
On the other hand, is there a chance someone grabbed the wrong jug and dumped some gasoline into the tank?
Vapor pressure from the gasoline ''contamination'' of the diesel fuel interferes with fuel flow and can cause EXACTLY what you are seeing when the engine and fuel pump heat up.
I personally know of two times that has happened.
One of the two I was personally involved with, and the diesel fuel still appeared ''normal'', but when the tank was drained and refilled with fresh #2 diesel the stalling disappeared.
If you are getting pressure to the IP and it still stalls gasoline in the fuel would be the next thing I'd suspect.
