Tach on my MF1105 recently stopped working properly and now doesn't work at all. needle spins all the way to the right and stays there. I checked the cable and it is spinning with enough force that I can't stop it with my fingers and the end seems squared off. There is a brass end sticking out of the back of the tach and I can spin that with my fingers to to the left to move needle back to 0, but with any spinning input towards passenger right side of tractor the needle moves up in rpm but doesn't move back on its own. With cable in there spinning it goes as far as it can to the right or up in rpm and doesn't come back to 0 at all.
Could this be fixed with some lubrication maybe?
It's an aftermarket tach installed in '06 so there isn't any nostalgia to it....
