It holds position, but the more you work it up and down, the slower it responds to lift. Im assuming the oil temperature might affect it but only because it works at first (as long as its full throttle).
Ive got an 8 disc mower on it.
My guess is that its a valve, the lift cylinders, or something wrong in the lift linkage. The pump could be weak too, but the remotes dont have trouble that I can tell.
I overlooked the valve in 258, I saw it on the cooler but didnt realize what it was. I have no idea on the dump valve. Theres also an air bleed valve thats supposed to be in the lines, but I cant locate it on the tractor. Its shown in 8-272 and 8-268
