The levels you guys are mixing Roundup to water should kill everything and some left over. You should not need to mixe more than about 4ozs to 2.5 gallon of water to do the job. that would be a mix of 32ozs to 20 gallon of water which is a recommended rate for field use on most weeds in most crops. With the levels you're using chemicals is the reason they are restricted use on most of them. I am starting to believe Roundup should be aslo for this reason. Over use by urban users and then complaints about water contamination all being blamed on the farmer for the heavy use of chemicals. Not saying some don't do the same thing at times just that the farmer for the acres he covers and the cost they are not for the most part mixing to these levels you guys post using. Mixing some other product with it would give a better effect on your weed issue. And dumping table salt on thing sat the amount show will also do the same water contamination eventually. It all builds up and can become a problem. Like the amount of nitrogen poured/sprayed on lawns to keep them green does the same thing causing a nitrate level in well water . Don't believe me ask a bunch of the folks in IA about having their wells closed and hauling water for daily use. I'm sure it is wider spread than just IA too.
