I just wanted to let anyone interested know that the Iowa Plowing Association will be having their state level competition Labor Day weekend just north of Marshalltown, Iowa. You can come out and watch for free and even compete (I think its $20 or so to compete).
Location: Marshalltown Water Works Treatment Plant 1957 N. Center Street Road Marshalltown, IA 50158
Dates: Friday September 2nd - Layout plots and practice. Saturday September 3rd - All competitions. Sunday September 4th - Rain makeup day.
Competition Times: Antique and Open Classes - 9:30AM Small Plow and Kverneland - 1:30PM
