They both show the same part number, A60530 but the 870 has a D at the end the 1070 just as shown. In the IH world I would be fairly certain the two would interchange not so certain on a Case. In the link the 2nd 09 Chassis section subsection 266. You will have to enter 1070 at the top and and search it. The subsections are different numbers on it. You should have posted this on the JI Case topic section. I did not pay any attention to the serial number splits maybe that has something to do with the different numbers. The way they set up those black side panel strips and how they attach with the supports behind them is a pee poor design. My uncle has a 1070 and I was going to help him put some exhaust manifold gaskets in it. The supports behind those things are right in the way. They should have made the hood sides so they could unbolt.
