I had a friend give me a junk electric wheelchair with 2 new batteries. He insisted I take it. He wanted to have more space in his garage. He didn't want to spend the money to repair it for his girlfriend.
I was thinking the seat on the wheelchair would make a nice comfortable seat on a tractor or lawnmower. So far I haven't done anything with it. It might be a round-to-it job.
The 2 12v batteries might someday be put in lawn mowers..
I think used electric wheelchairs are not in great demand and too expensive to repair. Insurance companies or Medicare might buy you new wheelchairs. So if you are cheap and in need of a good tractor seat, look for a junk electric wheelchair.
