Good afternoon, all: I just wanted to get my two cents' worth on this thread, although I am referring to a lawn/garden tractor (Deere 212). The seat on mine had covering that was getting ratty and I thought it might fall apart. Since I only use it about one hour at a time, I opted to buy a simple seat cover from Lowe's. It just slipped on, and has worked ok for several years. I like that it has three open pockets on back for small tools, first aid kit, etc. Also has a zipper pocket for stuff I want to keep clean. The seat cover is ugly in its old age, but so is the tractor and its owner....

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
