Don't buy a rebuild kit. Take the block, the head crank and cam to a well recommended automotive machine shop in your area. Tell them that you are going to rebuild it provided it is rebuildable. They will thoroughly inspect it for lots of parameters that you have never heard of. After a few days or weeks they will call you to come in and go over it. They will tell you what needs to be done. When you give them the go-ahead they will do what is needed to the head, block, cam and crank, and give you the sizes needed for bearings, pistons rings etc. If you are smart you will have them source the bearings rings etc. and save some money. They know where to get them.
