I've heard of Gathering of the Orange for AC collectors that happens every year I believe, or maybe used to as I haven't seen any ads for it in awhile.
John Deere has a antique convention in Davenport/Rock Island area every late winter. There used to be a really good website I believe was called Deerely Departed or something like that (they were out of the Davenport Iowa area), that sold antique Deere parts, but they have disappeared unless someone here knows what happened to them. They sold good quality stuff and helped me a lot when working on a 39 B years ago.
The group I used to be with disbanded due to a dispute with the museum where we used to meet basically taking over our show and none of the board was in our club (long story). The remaining members have either passed on or joined an actual antique tractor club and museum in the neighboring county, but it's an hour drive one way for me so I didn't move on, I just free lance now :)

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
