Am repairing a 420 C engine! Former owner ran with zero oil pressure and took out bearings on crank. Crank has been polished and still measures standard!!!! Pistons in engine were .040 oversize not .045 sold by J D. Question is did these foreign pistons cause failure? What is proper deck height so compression ratio is not too high? Are J D pistons made with flat top? (again affecting compression) Former owner bought crawler thar had been recently overhauled and I do not know history or where pistons came from. Any advice or comments appreciated
