I played with my mom's years ago. It's not the easiest to get the hang of, but I did like the challenge. It's still at the house here & at some point it will go in for a servicing. Then I'll have to try it out. Accordion music is a favorite of mine. There wasn't a wedding reception on my mom's side of the family that didn't have 50/50 polka & '50s rock 'n' roll played at it. It's also good milking parlor music. To top it all off, my favorite polkas are nearing the century mark. There were so many different sounds that represented the old world European countries to set them all apart. A polka from Germany does not sound the same as one from Austria. One from Lithuania does not sound like one from Poland. It's the same basic sound, yes, but all with different flavors. And, as with everything.... it seems to have gotten lost somewhere in time.
The videos I'll be posting will have a mix of older polkas & some early country. I must be careful though. I can get git hard with a copyright strike & get my channel suspended. Right now, the video has a copyright claim. There's a message that says, The Content ID claim on your video doesn't affect your channel. This is not a copyright strike. Far as I can tell, it means whoever owns the rights to that song can monetize my video & I do not get into trouble posting it. However, those of who that monetize their channel would be unable to do so with a song like that in it. So, with me it's a non-issue. Just have to be careful & stay away from pop music from any point in recorded history.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Not a place one would associate with farms or farm machinery. I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
