I usually trade pickups yearly, put on 35,000 miles per year. I have owned 4 of the F-150s and 2 after that with the 5.0. The 2018 5.0 had electrical i ssues that they could not get resolved so I bought a 2020 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi. I now have a 2021 and could not be happier with the Ram. The 5.7 gets as good of mileage as the Eco Boost and considerably better than the 5.0. With the 6 Fords I had in a row the quality tended to go down each year, and none of them compared with the 5.7 Ram. Will get another Ram.
I also have a 2017 Mustang with the 4 cyl Eco Boost. Great performing car, gets 28 MPG around town and 34MPG on highway. Have owned 7 Mustangs and this is the best one. It gets better mileage than many economy cars and the Mustangs are really dependable. Have not spent any money on any of them and have all been purchased 2 years old with 20,000 miles or so. With their resale value they are lowest cost cars I have owned. Had GT 8 cylinders, a V6 and now the 4 Cylinder Eco Boost. Will buy another Eco Boost for sure.
