My Uncle Raymond Tellin was on the cruiser USS Rawleigh when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor--The Rawleigh took one torpedo and was started to list and if you read the ships battle log for the day it tells how him and another sailor were credited saving the ship from capsizing by counter flooding! He then was sent to the Oklahoma to help cut sailors out of the capsized battleship.. He was a quiet man and didn't talk much about the war but I am proud my name is Dennis Raymond and we named our son Raymond Dennis--He will always be my HERO--RIP Uncle Ray!!! Anchors Aweigh and God Bless America---Tee Capsized Oklahoma Trying to right the ship He was in the USN over 30 years and retired a full bird Captain.
