I just had an 11 shank, 12000#, 14' wide chisel plow hauled from Wisconsin to NY. Because of all the requirements and restrictions it cost $7000. My neighbor recently hauled a light load from out of state with his 1 ton pickup and trailer. He was not overweight, length, no unsecured load, nothing. But he didn't realize his class A license was only good in state. The obvious thing that got him was no DOT number on his truck. By the time DOT go done with him, several violations added up to $3500.
