Are you using the ..Choose files.. button down lower in the New post or reply window? There may be ways to attach the photo files by the ..tag buttons.. I believe you must be using on Modern. You have to have the correct tag at the front of the file and closing it at the back for that to work. I certainly do not know how to do that. Look for the button as I described above shown circled in the screen shot photo, it will allow you to select the photo file. Then it will automatically include the correct syntax for the photos to post properly.
Upload one or more videos to your post. Photo and video filesizes should be less than 5MB. Formats allowed are gif, jpg, png, ogg, mp4, mov, and avi. Be sure to use filenames without spaces or special characters, and filetypes of 3 digits lower case.
