gtractorfan I have built many things in my lifetime. My construction days are over. I hire people to do my heavy lifting work. My first pole barn took 7 guys 4 days to build. My second pole barn took 7 amish/mennonites 2 days to build. I did all the prep work. Leveled the ground. Hauled in white rock, packed it in for the 6 inch concrete floor.
This took me 5 years to build a new house around an old 2 bedroom ranch.
I still have a young mind that makes fun of my old body. My construction days are over. Too much arthritis. If I get the urge to build a house or PPB, I sit down and wait for the urge to pass. I know a man who builds pole barns to your specs. He too doesn't build pole barns. He sells them and a crew from DC metals in Davis County build them.
Never again will I attempt to build another house. I'll hire the work done.
