Thanks very much for the detailed advice here and on the video. I had hoped it might be simply a matter of adjustment but looks like disassembly is in the future. Only thing I remember seeing in the oil filler hole back in the summer was oil vapour rising out of it which I thought a little strange.
I doubt I'll take this job on here in winter. Hope to get by with it til spring. The tractor handles the blower fine in the max down position if I can get the 3 point control lever to lock in the forward position.
Its a little odd those o rings would be worn out because as far as I know the previous owner never used the hitch. I've had it 4 years now and only run the snow blower on it.
