I supervised an automatic transmission component manufacturing department for GM Hydra-Matic. My one jobsetter had worked 6 months 7 days a week. I asked him what day the next week he was taking off. He said he wasn't. I told him that he would either take a personal day off or that I would throw him out on a madeup shop rules violation. We joked about it later. There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
